ALL ABOUT

Amanda & Purpose Lab

Purpose isn’t something you find once. It’s something you build into the way you live.

BUT FIRST...

Let's Get One Thing Straight.

I’m not here to give you another system for becoming "more productive" inside a life that still doesn’t feel meaningful.

Because a purpose-filled life isn’t built by doing more for the sake of doing more.

It’s built by learning what deserves your energy, what reflects your values, what makes you feel most alive, and what connects you to something beyond yourself.

→ I believe you can build a life that rooted in who you are and responsive to the world around you.

→ I believe that creating the life you want isn’t just about checking off achievements; it’s about becoming a person who can live with both direction and devotion toward personal goals, and toward the people, places, and causes you care about.

→ I believe that purpose isn’t one perfect calling you discover once. It’s something you practice through your choices, your relationships, your work, your attention, and your participation in the world around you.

What Purpose Lab Is Built On:

 How We Got Here...

In fall of 2019, I was doing it all.

By day, I was teaching at a small Montessori-based school. In the evenings, I was commuting into New York City to complete my Master’s degree at Columbia University’s Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology. On the weekends, I was finishing a 200-hour yoga teacher training, and soon after, teaching yoga classes for adults, families, and children.

And somehow, in the in-between moments, I was still trying to make room for everything else I cared about: practicing piano and guitar, tutoring to build up my savings, deepening my own yoga practice, studying entrepreneurship, and slowly building my little side project—my online business exploring the intersection of personal growth, well-being, and meaningful living.

In many ways, things were “working.”

My days were scheduled down to the minute, my calendar was color-coded to perfection, and I was making progress in every direction. From the outside, it probably looked like I was living a meaningful, ambitious, well-rounded life.

But underneath all that motion, I was running on empty.

I had always thought of myself as driven, curious, and multi-passionate. I loved learning. I loved creating. I cared deeply about helping people. I wanted my life to feel rich, useful, and connected to something larger than myself.

But I was starting to realize that filling my life with what "should" be meaningful things was not the same as actually living meaningfully.

I was doing more and more, but feeling less and less present inside my own life. The things that were supposed to make me feel alive had started to feel like more boxes to check, more roles to perform, more proof that I was becoming the kind of person I wanted to be.

The truth was, I didn’t just need a better schedule; I needed a different relationship to my life.

I needed to stop organizing my days around urgency, arbitrary achievement, and "keeping up," and start asking deeper questions: What actually matters here? What kind of person am I becoming? What am I giving my energy to? What do I want my life to be in service of? Where do my gifts, values, relationships, and care for the world have room to exist in my life?

That is the deeper work that eventually became Purpose Lab (formerly, The Simply Well).

Today, my work is for people who know there is more to life than managing it well.

It's for people who are thoughtful, values-driven, and deeply conscientious. People who care about growth, but are tired of turning themselves into endless self-improvement projects. People who want their lives to feel more connected and alive.

Drawing from my background in psychology, education, and somatic and spiritual practice, I help people move beyond productivity, obligation, and endless self-reflection, and start building lives that reflect who they are, what they care about, and what they have to give.

Because purpose is not one perfect calling you discover once. It is something you practice through your choices, your relationships, your work, your attention, and your participation in the world around you.

— Client Love —

"You do a lovely job of meeting clients where they are at, guiding clients along vs. pushing or telling them 'how' to walk the path, and you make sure we are the ones to determine the path (which is HUGE). You are authentic and genuinely care— I can tell that this gift of yours is what you were created to do and share with others. You are well researched, use language that is accessible and approach our time together with strategy, energy and an overall desire to help in personal growth needs. I will always remember our time together as a time when I remembered that I can still dream.... still grow... still want to explore creative personal growth opportunities for myself, family and business."
